A silastic ring / Minimizer or Fobi ring is encircled around the upper region of  newly created sleeve. Adding band to sleeve gastrectomy increases the rate of weight loss. It is called as Banded Sleeve Gastrectomy. 

This allows long term stablization of weight and prevents weight regain.
